The Fall VIIVII
The girl sat in her room that gradually grew with gloom.
The breeze brittle on her moonlit skin,
She stood to see several bottles bob in the water.
Salt sprinkled her bare legs, as she leaned to pluck the first bottle.
Between the glass sides were tiny twinkling lights.
As she popped the cork from it, the lights leaped to the darkened sky above.
Sticking to the sky—they were stars, she declared to herself.
The girl gripped the second bottle from the restless waves,
finding a small note with a simple hello written.
She wrote back to the questionable writer,
as a suitable way to find the closest thing to company in her room.
Even though the respondent was not the one she desperately had wanted then.
The two spent an uncharted amount of time writing one another,
neither knowing a full purpose of doing so.
Impatient for a first,
